Transport Shift Manager

Wolverhampton, WV10 0JP

45 Hours per week. Working on the day shift, starting at 8am and finishing at 5pm, on a Monday to Friday basis. However flexibility required to work outside of these times and to cover other shifts to suit business needs.

We are now recruiting for a Transport Shift Manager to join us, Reporting to the Transport Manager, this role will be responsible for morning dispatch and daily driver debriefs:

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for compliance of all vehicles and drivers
• Providing skills required to deliver to customers on time and in full
• Providing high quality services to suit customer needs
• Providing support for distribution teams to ensure smooth running of operations
• Making sure all site objectives are met whilst not compromising on health and safety
• Holding health and safety at the forefront of all processes
• Seeing the vehicles and crew out in the morning and overseeing the return of all vehicles and crews
• To be the point of contact for all real time delivery issues for the crews and to communicate with customer services

Experience and Key Attributes:

• Experience supervising or leading within transport or a logistics network
• Experience within transport compliance
• Customer Service
• IT literate
• Manual Handling
• IOSH certification beneficial however not required
• Transport Manager CPC beneficial however not required
