Culina Logistics are proud to be an award winning 3PL service specialising in chilled warehousing. Offering clients total supply chain solutions by providing an excellent platform for world class clients providing day one for day one picking capability and complete coverage of the UK and Ireland via eight strategically located warehouses, providing over 100,000 pallet spaces, with a massive 1.5m cases delivered daily.

We are now seeking a conscientious and reliable Transport Shift Manager to join our team in Avonmouth, Bristol.

Shift: 4 on 4 off nights, 19.00-07.00



As a Transport Shift Manager you will manage the day to day running of the Transport operation, together with motivating and managing a large team of direct reports including Transport Operators, Drivers & Shunters.

Key Duties of a Transport Shift Manager:

• Ensure all aspects of Transport legal compliance and Health & Safety are maintained and that deliveries are made on time and at the right standard
• Operate within budget/KPI levels of the site and strive to exceed these expectations
• Manage and investigate all delivery issues, communicating effectively to both internal and external clients as required
• Involvement in the recruitment and training of new starters - operations staff and drivers
• Maintain regular reviews and develop Personal Development Plans for all team members to maximise their contributions to the department
• Conduct safety conversations with all colleagues to engage and raise awareness of Health & Safety
• Review and conduct risk assessments of the site, delivery points and collection points and complete regular work place inspections
• Ensure full adherence to all statutory and legal requirements
• Manage the team\'s performance in line with Drivers Hours, WTD and MPG KPI\'s

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a similar transport management position in FMCG environment
• Significant knowledge and experience of tachographs, driving rules and regulations
• CPC National Licence is highly desirable
• Ability to effectively prioritise workloads in order to meet set deadlines
• Have a professional and approachable character to ensure smooth running of the general operation
• Be customer service driven with strong negotiating skills and the ability to influence and steer
• Good IT skills including MS Office with a high level of numeracy and a keen eye for detail
