Exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Transport Shift Manager on the Morrisons Contract in Bridgwater, where your leadership drives efficiency and innovation in every delivery!

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

To directly assist Operational Management by managing and generating the shipping requirements for distribution routes, from warehouse to end-user, maintaining precise and up-to-date performance reports for your designated shift To manage and implement productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames while always maintaining standards of excellence To track and trace shipping orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that all legislation and records are maintained and kept at optimum level To monitor recruitment levels and initiate staff training as required, keeping up-to-date records in-line with company policies

Proven track record in managing logistics and transport operations effectively. Experience in leading and managing a team of 50+ colleagues, fostering collaboration and high performance will be required. Capable of identifying issues and implementing effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment both on-site and on the road. Hold Valid O License - This desirable, for overseeing transport operations and ensuring compliance with regulations.
