Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of group travel offering a diverse range of value-for-money tours. They work with distinct brands to deliver exciting travel experiences, including cruises. They are looking for a Transport Scheduler to join their team.

The Role:

You will be reporting to the Head of Logistics and play a key role in planning the tour operations. You\'ll schedule coaches from various suppliers to ensure smooth and efficient transportation for customers on holiday throughout the year. This role requires a commercially-minded and highly organised individual with experience in logistics or operational management.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date schedule database, planning 90% of the program at least 6 months in advance.
• Act as a point of contact for operators and drivers during their tours.
• Schedule the liveried fleet of contracted coaches to meet contractual obligations effectively.
• Coordinate additional third-party coaches to ensure all tours have reserved transportation.
• Manage daily supplier relationships and keep them informed of their coaches\' requirements.
• Assist in efficiently routing and planning coach tours to support logistical delivery.
• Work on a rota basis, including weekends and some early and late patterns.
• Accompany periodic visits to key coach suppliers across the country.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in logistics, operational management, or the travel industry is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in UK geography and exceptional supplier relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to prioritise cost management with advanced proficiency in Excel.
