Transport Planner

Siamo Recruitment are currently looking for a Transport Planner on a temporary to permanent basis, located in the County of Monmouthshire.

With an immediate start available, this role requires an individual who is experienced managing large fleets of vehicles and drivers, and handling relevant planning and administrative duties. The successful applicant will be working as part of a dedicated team, assisting the Transport Manager with overseeing transport planning.

Hourly pay: \xc2\xa313 - \xc2\xa315 (depending on experience)

The Role:
- Managing bookings for Hiabs, Lowloader & plant related requests.
- Planning deliveries and collections of plant and equipment, as well as STGO requirements.
- Using Syrinx system to capture all hires for invoice runs.
- Ensuring safe systems of work are followed and the workforce is briefed accordingly.
- Ensuring all pre-start checks are completed and defects communicated with Manager and relevant staff.
- Ensuring HGV fleet maintenance is planned and available as per a routine Maintenance schedule.
- Supplying the Manager with routine updates on the performance of the transport department.

The Ideal Candidate:

- Experiencing in a Transport Management role and managing large fleets of HGVs/Drivers is required.

- Able to work under pressure dealing with vehicle breakdowns, during working week and unsocial hours.
- Understanding of health and safety processes and transport-relevant HR processes.
- Experience using transport related systems.
