Job Description

Our client is looking for a Transport Planner to join their team in Hampshire.

Our client is an independent consultancy, based in Odiham, who pride themselves on providing a focused, reliable, and speedy service. The team is made up of highly experienced professionals offering a full range of highway, transport planning and drainage advise throughout the UK.

The role offers the opportunity for an enthusiastic Transport Planner to join an expanding team, with involvement in a variety of diverse transport related projects, from small residential schemes to large mixed-use developments.

Responsibilities of the role:
\xc2\xb7The use of Junctions software (ARCADY and PICADY).
\xc2\xb7Obtaining, analysing and interpreting traffic data.
\xc2\xb7Reviewing development sites with regard to their accessibility by a range of transport modes.
\xc2\xb7Preparation of Transport Assessments/Statements and Travel Plans.
\xc2\xb7Undertaking junction capacity assessments using industry standard software such as Junctions 9 and LinSig.
\xc2\xb7Undertaking site visits.

Requirements of the role:
\xc2\xb7Experience in the field of development transport planning.
\xc2\xb7A member (or seeking to be) of a professional membership, such as CIHT or ICE.
\xc2\xb7Accuracy and good attention to detail.
\xc2\xb7High standard of work ethic and ability to use initiative.
\xc2\xb7A formal education in either Civil Engineering, Geography or Transport Planning.
