About Us:

Tandem Transport is a well-established, growing haulage company based in Hengoed. We provide reliable and efficient transport solutions across the UK. We are expanding and looking for a proactive Transport Planner to join our team and help drive our operations forward.

The Role:

As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for the efficient planning of our general haulage and pallet network operations. You will ensure all deliveries are scheduled effectively while maintaining high service standards and compliance with transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and route vehicles for daily deliveries and collections. Monitor driver schedules to ensure legal compliance (Working Time Directive, Drivers' Hours). Liaise with drivers, customers, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations. Handle last-minute changes, route updates, and problem-solving. Ensure all transport activities comply with health, safety, and legal requirements. Maintain accurate records of transport movements and driver hours.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Transport Planner in the haulage/logistics industry. Strong geographical knowledge of the UK. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes. Good IT skills (transport planning systems experience desirable).

CPC Qualification (desired but not essential).

Strong understanding of compliance, driver hours, and transport legislation.

Pay: 35,000.00 per year
