Job Description
Are you an experienced transport planner with the ability to work in a busy and challenging operation?
The successful candidate will be required to work closely within the full load Transport division to manage and coordinate the daily operations of the company's vehicles across the UK & Ireland whilst liaising with drivers, sub-contractors, and customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan loads activity based on priorities (orders, location, etc) Monitoring customer requests, allocating jobs and issuing instructions Keeping up to date with transport issues and dealing with changes to the day's schedules Communicate fleet availability and issues to the whole team Liaising with drivers and colleagues to ensure on time collections and deliveries Pre-brief and de-brief drivers on their daily runs throughout the day Record collection/delivery status and discrepancies in systems and escalate where appropriate Troubleshooting critical transport related issues as they arise in a live environment
The Candidate:
Excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written Exceptional attention to detail and administrative skills A good team player as well as the ability to work on your own Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change in fast paced environment Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is an advantage, however it is not essential for the role
