About Us:

Sackville-West Moving & Storing are a Transport and Removals Company based in Andover. We have a fleet of 12 vehicles, and we cover the south of England and the Midlands.

We carry out small removals and also collect and deliver items from Auction Houses all over London and the South. We also have daily delivery contracts and in addition to this we have 3 Warehouses in Andover from which we operate the business from.

About the role:

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a trainee or experienced Route Planner to join our team. The role will be full time Monday to Friday working from our depot in Andover.

Key responsibilities include:

Liaise with customers via telephone and email to arrange bookings Plan and book daily van routes Update and plan the weekly diary Provide a communication link between customers and drivers Formulating and completing paperwork for driver's daily jobs Issue driver information and updates throughout the day Troubleshoot critical transport related issues throughout the day Liaise with the rest of the office team regarding pricing, booking dates etc Responding to Customer emails and quoting job requests

Personal requirements:

Some transport route planning experience Some experience of working within a busy transport office Have a basic understanding of Goods Vehicles (weights, dimensions and terminology) A good geographic knowledge of the UK A 'can-do' attitude to problem solving and staff queries An excellent team player, able to work on own initiative and make decisions An effective communicator An approachable and friendly telephone manner

This position is available immediately, ideally with an initial paid trial day(s). Successful Candidates will be required to complete a DBS check prior to commencing employment.

The starting salary is 28,000 for experienced candidates.
