Job Description
Due to continued expansion, Currie Solutions are recruiting for a Transport Planner (Night shift) to join our team in Ecclefechan.
Shifts available for these vacancies: 4 on 4 off and Monday-Friday.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication and coordination between various departments, drivers and customers, facilitating the smooth flow of data and information across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and allocate vehicles, areas, and shifts in line with operational requirements. Routing and scheduling of vehicles and drivers in the most cost effective manner and within time parameters set by customers. Communicate relevant operational information to drivers in a clear and timely manner. Handle telephone enquiries from drivers and customers, escalating to the appropriate department when necessary. Accurately input and update data in the Traffic Management System, ensuring all fields are properly completed. Monitor and support drivers to ensure compliance with tachograph regulations. Track and trace trailers and trucks Accurate input of data into traffic management system ensuring all required data fields are completed. Ensure that paperwork received from drivers is all present and correct and passed to the appropriate departments.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Good understanding/knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
