Here at Aggregate Industries we now have an exciting new opportunity for a Transport Manager to work with our Readymix team. You\xe2\x80\x99ll help to ensure we are operating a safe and compliant fleet of HGV\xe2\x80\x99s across the North West of the UK. Across the 12 Readymix sites in this region, we operate with a fleet of 60 vehicles split as a mixture of our own and franchisee. This is a new role to the business so presents you a real opportunity to make a mark in your career at Aggregate Industries. You\xe2\x80\x99ll have the full support and coaching of our senior logistics team to help develop into the best you can be.
You\xe2\x80\x99ll help to drive a \xe2\x80\x9cSafety First\xe2\x80\x9d culture into all area transport operations You\xe2\x80\x99ll be accountable for the safety, compliance and legal aspect of the fleet. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for the safe, compliant and cost effective delivery of the owner-driver and franchisee partners. You\xe2\x80\x99ll proactively maximise the fleet and haulier availability, while increasing vehicle utilisation. You\xe2\x80\x99ll Manage, motivate and engage with a large team across multiple sites covering a large geographical area.

What will you bring? You\xe2\x80\x99ll be CPC certified as a Transport Manager You\xe2\x80\x99ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You\xe2\x80\x99ll have strong data & analytical skills You\xe2\x80\x99ll have experience working in transport, across multiple sites You\xe2\x80\x99ll be willing to challenge convention and help drive new ideas. You\xe2\x80\x99ll have a strong methodical and structured approach.
