TRANSPORT MANAGER - POS / POP DISPLAYS

Our client based in the East Midlands specialise in the supply of POS / POP within the temporary and permanent display industry.

Due to an increase in the transport and deliveries manage across the UK & Europe they now need an experienced Transport Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation and ownership, of all import, and export, documentation of goods
  • VAT Management and Tracking (documentation, formatting, etc).
  • Ordering all sample packaging, ensuring its appropriate for production and within budget
  • Arranging and scheduling installations.
  • Obtaining quotes (multiple quotes for comparison and selection of best fit supplier).
  • Drawing the information out of the team to coordinate dates - multiple installs on the same dates in the same stores - margin enhancement possibilities.
  • Use of supplier resources.
  • Instruction sheets for the store/s and for the installation teams - will be based on liaising with the team to draw out what information is required and should be included - these are to be sent to clients for approval.
  • Managing the activity back into the business - arrangements for storage
  • Goods in responsibilities, QC, Storage, Photo\'s
  • Supporting other departments in general business activities
  • Keeping transportation operations within budget without compromising efficiency
  • Collaborating with internal departments to optimise transportation services.
  • Ownership and development of transport processes and procedures
  • Update the business on changes to transport legislation as and when required to ensure supporting and leading clients.
  • Liaise with client\'s goods-in departments via phone and email to secure booking slots in advance of delivery for both UK and overseas.
  • Liaise with approved transport companies to ensure orders are arranged on time and within budget.
  • Creation of purchase orders for deliveries made.
  • Liaise with Sales Team to ensure delivery notes are raised for all despatches.
  • Ensure PODs are received and logged in a timely manner.
  • Ensure correct paperwork is produced for all Export shipments.
  • Use online portals to book next day parcel deliveries - UK & Export
  • Communicate with Warehouse Team on a daily basis to review all goods due to be despatched.
  • Email out delivery note information & products received from suppliers - flagging any discrepancies with orders placed and goods received.
  • Maintain delivery note tracker with all required information.
  • Creation of box labels & pallet labels for production projects
  • Chasing down of volumetric information for production projects
  • Supporting production and planning departments where required
  • Willing to take on additional ad-hoc projects / duties in line with departments and business needs.
