Shift patterns: 4 on, 4 off \xe2\x80\x93 07:00-19:00

DHL, award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements at our Aberdeen depot, a multi-user site with approximately 20 drivers of C+E and C vehicles. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of drivers hours, working time directive and relative transport legislation.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• To directly assist Management by coordinating and generating the shipping requirements for distribution routes, maintaining precise and up to date reports
• To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, always maintaining standards of excellence
• Conducting 1:1\'s, performance reviews and absence meetings with direct reports, whilst ensuring wellbeing and motivation of the team
• Managing and providing support to drivers in relation to Drivers hours, Working Time Directive and Tachograph Infringements

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous experience as a Transport Supervisor within a logistics environment
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
• Up to date knowledge of Driver\'s Hours, Working Time Directive and other relevant Transport Legislation
• CPC is desirable, but not essential
