Job Description

Staffline is recruiting candidates to work as a Transport Controller with our client - a worldwide logistics provider based in Tunstall.

This is a temporary role until May 2024.

This is a full time role and the hours of work are:
- 10pm to 6am Monday to Thursday and 5pm to 1am Friday

Join our team today to earn \xc2\xa316.80 per hour.

Previous experience in a similar role is required.

Candidate must hold a valid driving licence.

Your Time at Work

The responsibilities of a Transport Controller include:

- Managing transport operations around the site to achieve KPI\'s
- Report and resolve daily issues in a timely manner
- Ensuring drivers and fleet are legally compliant in line with policy
- Allocating work when driver absence occurs
- Completing pre-shift checks in line with standards
- Influencing drivers\' performance
- Briefing/Debriefing subcontractors

Our Perfect Worker

Our ideal Transport Controller is reliable with strong leadership skills.

They should have previous experience within a transport office and an understanding of transport legal compliance stipulations.

Transport Controllers understand Health & Safety practices and responsibilities.

Previous experience in a similar role is required.

Strong numeracy skills and working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite are essential.
