: Transport Administrator will work successfully to ensure an effective and efficient transport function; this will fulfil the requirements of all customers and will do so in a cost-effective manner, ensuring that all administrative processes are complete accurately. They will also support other departments within the business to offer administrative help.
Key Accountabilities
Administrative support to the Customer service Manager
Follow transport office administration procedures at all times
Respond to telephone and email queries in a professional timely manner, pass messages to relevant personnel
Keep Line Manager informed of any irregularities
Ensure that all transport queries are handled in an efficient and consistent manner, in accordance with customer requirements.
Undertake routing of local delivery fleet
Liaise with customers, driver and other departments
Supporting the wider team
Filing, Photocopying, Scanning
to ensure service level agreements are maintained
To ensure that all activities are undertaken in accordance with current legislation, Company policies and procedures and best practice.
Provide support to the Transport Front Desk, Compliance Admin and Customer Service Team as required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel/Outlook
Demonstrate proven administrative experience
Experience of working within a transport office environment
Good local and national geographical knowledge
Experience of routing desirable but not essential
Organised with a methodical approach to tasks
Ability to consistently follow set company procedures
Confident telephone manner
Effective communicator oral and written
The ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
Able to work from own initiative and also as part of a team
Motivated, Pro-active and reliable
