Position: Transport Administrator
Location: Manchester (Trafford Park)
Salary: \xc2\xa323,000 - \xc2\xa325000
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.30pm - flexible start/finish time
Shift: Day shift / 40 hours

Job Purpose of the Transport Administrator

The role will sit within our Asset Management Division based at our offices in Manchester, you will become an integral part of the Team providing support to the Procurement Department and Business Development Managers.

We are one of the UK\'s leading transport and commercial vehicle finance providers and largest independent retailer of new, nearly new and used commercial vehicles. This role is due to continuing growth throughout the business, we currently operate across 5 locations in the UK.

Main duties and responsibilities of the Transport Administrator

  • Responsible for providing extensive administration support to the Asset Management division, reporting directly to the Fleet Specification Manager within the Asset Management Division.
  • Updating information on to our in-house systems and liaising with BDM\'s across both Contract Hire and Truck & Trailer Sales.
  • Assist with coordinating new business deals and progressing with the BDMs - ensuring allocations are correctly applied
  • Organise the scheduling of vehicle movements from dealer\'s/body builders and liaise with customers on final delivery.
  • Work closely with our Operations team for IQS, progress chasing and release of new assets to our customers
  • Raising orders to suppliers for new equipment, including scheduling of assets and informing the relevant departments of schedules/planned arrivals.
  • Loading all new assets onto our internal system along with creating start up applications in line with our operating procedures.
  • Assisting BDM\'s to produce quote templates for issue to customers
  • Ensure stock release with suppliers and delivery completion documentation returned
Experience / Knowledge required for the Transport Administrator role
  • Previous experience in a similar role in either a Contract Hire, Fleet Management, Operations, or a Logistics background.
  • Knowledge of the commercial vehicle sector would be beneficial
  • Strong IT skills - internal systems, Microsoft excel, outlook etc
  • Administration experience gained within a busy/fast paced environment
