Training Coordinator
to join our dedicated team.
Role Overview:
The Training Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling, planning, and coordination of all driver training activities. This key role involves working closely with instructors, learners, examiners, and admin staff to ensure smooth delivery of services and an exceptional experience for all clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage daily and weekly training schedules for all driver categories (e.g. HGV, PCV, minibus).
Liaise with instructors to assign lessons, monitor availability, and manage changes.
Communicate with candidates regarding training dates, requirements, and test bookings.
Ensure training materials and resources are up to date and available.
Assist in maintaining compliance with DVSA standards and training regulations.
Support learners with course information, documentation, and test preparation guidance.
Maintain accurate training records, logs, and reports using internal systems.
Work closely with the sales/admin team to maximise course bookings and instructor utilisation.
Coordinate with third parties such as test centres, medical providers, and venues.
Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new trainers when required.
Proactively identify areas for improvement in training delivery and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
Previous experience in training coordination, scheduling, or operations (preferably in transport/logistics or education/training).
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable with CRM/booking systems.
Ability to multitask, prioritise, and stay calm under pressure.
A proactive and positive attitude with attention to detail.
Understanding of driver training processes (desirable but not essential).
Knowledge of HGV/PCV licensing categories and DVSA requirements (advantageous).
