The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Trainer Assessor in Engineering within our Apprenticeship provision. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivery on Apprenticeship Standards with successful EPA results.
We are looking for candidates with experience in one (or more) of the following areas:
Machining
Engineering (technical support and tool maker)
To note: This post requires a qualified assessor and will carry a small caseload of apprentices to support them to achieve their on-program learning to progress to End Point Assessment. The role will also be supporting two trainee assessors whilst they carry full caseloads to provide development support and feedback on assessments through the-portfolio.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at our Accrington site but may be required to travel across sites.
What You Will Be Doing:
Deliver all elements of the assessed standards including: training, mentoring, learner reviews, timely feedback and assessment
Take a "hands-on" approach with apprentices, coaching and demonstrating best practice in line with the new Standards
Supporting trainee assessors
What We Are Looking For:
4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
A1 qualification
Teaching Qualification (desirable)
Current industrial experience/ up to date industry CPD
Experience of delivery and assessment of qualifications in this area
IQA qualification (desirable)
