Trainee Truck Sales Executive \xe2\x80\x93 Intercounty Truck and Van

Aiming to be the benchmark for excellence in customer service and lead the industry, due to continued growth, Intercounty Truck and Van are looking for a Trainee Truck Sales Executive, forming part of the Mercedes-Benz FastTrack Truck Sales Programme. The Mercedes-Benz programme starts in December.

The Role

You will participate in the FastTrack Truck Sales Trainee program to completion to achieve the C-Sales Mercedes-Benz Certification which is run and managed by Mercedes-Benz Trucks. You will attend the Mercedes-Benz cohort training program both face to face at Wentworth Park (South Yorkshire) and online training, in conjunction with participating in the Intercounty Truck and Van development structured training program. You will become responsible for completing, Identifying, and prospecting new business and looking after existing customers, eventually becoming responsible for selling new & used vehicles. You will establish and foster contacts and relationships with departments which support Sales. Hold sales presentations and provide customers with information and advice on Mercedes-Benz Trucks for new and used vehicles, equipment, finance & Repair & Maintenance (R&M).

You will also get involved in supporting the company management in planning issues relevant to sales, such as volume planning and profitability. You will define market trends for new & used vehicle sales, co-coordinating these with performance targets stipulated by Mercedes-Benz UK and drawing up a business plan. You will help with developing concepts to increase sales, turnover and profitability and reaching agreement on these with the company management. You will also be observing market price developments of competitors in the new and used vehicles business, carry out analyses of the competition/benchmarking. Planning and managing/involvement in media advertising, direct marketing, and customer loyalty activities. Putting forward suggestions and implementing measures to increase customer satisfaction and ensuring customer wishes are dealt with and followed up.

About you

The FastTrack Truck Sales Trainee must be comfortable working as an individual as well as working as part of a team. You must be willing to learn and be focused on attaining the C-Sales certification through attending the Mercedes-Benz FastTrack Truck training program courses as well as attending the structured sessions within the dealership.

You will have a passion for sales and customer satisfaction, be a great communicator and be able to develop relationships effortlessly.

Upon completion of the C-Sales Certification, the trainee will qualify as a Mercedes-Benz Truck Sales Executive who then continues to strive to have an extensive knowledge of business administration as well as basic knowledge of tax, finance and contract law and the legal forms of doing business.

You will need to have a full UK driving licence.

On Offer

  • Basic salary of \xc2\xa321,000 whist undertaking the training programme; however, this will increase as you start selling with bonus and commission opportunities.

  • Hours of work: 0830 to 1700 Monday to Friday, you will need to be flexible depending on business needs.
