Trainee Supply Chain Buyer Planner

Job Description

We are looking for a Trainee Supply Chain Buyer to join our team in Cirencester on a permanent full time basis. This role will give you an opportunity to learn how to effectively manage the supply and demand within the global supply chain process for implants and instruments across Corin Group. Within this role you will be given support and training to become a Buyer/Planner.

The Trainee Supply Chain Buyer Planner responsibilities will include (but not limited):



Place and raise purchase orders and ensure they are acknowledged, highlighting any risks to supply. Ensure open purchase order reports have clean data and raise any issues with the relevant Buyer Planners. Maintain strong working relationships and communications with suppliers to confirm production/shipping schedules. Monitor open purchase orders for all orders to ensure on-time deliveries. Proactively report product and material availability issues. Coordinate inventory planning and replenishment of raw materials and components in conjunction with our program management teams. Analyse and coordinate MRP data, source list & material master/parameters. Review MRP data, delay, bring forward, and cancel messages to ensure the schedule of supply meets the production requirement and minimum safety stock levels. Inventory Management: Support reporting, inventory parameters, reduction, and reserve percentage measurements. Maintain purchase order status Supplier Management: RFQ, Cost saving initiatives, Supplier relationship/evaluation. Co-ordinate WIP with subcontract suppliers. Work collaboratively with manufacturing teams to provide a coherent and efficient material planning process. Support in pulling together KPIs to monitor, control, and improve performance. Be responsible for the consumable warehouse in sage (warehouse 30) to ensure stock levels are correct

The ideal Trainee Buyer/Planner will have:



Ideally you will have experience working within supply chain environment Have experience in working with Sage Be able to balance short-term priorities, but able to work towards the long-term supply chain objectives. Comfortable and adaptable in a growing and changing environment. A self-starter with the ability to work independently under pressure. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Good planning, organization, and communication skills
