Tods are looking to recruit trainee Production Operators, to work in our Polyurethane Department, to commence work as soon as possible, who have a keen eye for detail and quality.
All trainees are to put into practice all instructions given and outlined by their Team Leader or Deputy Team Leader. It is anticipated that trainees spend several weeks, months or even years to become fully knowledgeable in their jobs. A trainee is assessed at all times as the training progresses. Maintaining a professional attitude and showing excellent listening skills are two of the most important attributes to be demonstrated.
In addition, good communication skills, confidence, problem-solving and an ability to develop and maintain relationships among colleagues and supervisors are essential.
You will be working as a part of a multi-skilled team to meet deadlines with full training and mentoring provided. You will learn the following key skills whilst working on a structured training programme:
Responsibilities:
Using and maintaining specialised machines and tools
Assembling components
Lifting and handling components and materials
Finding and fixing faults if and when they arise
Conserving resources wherever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and customer satisfaction
Be open to learn new things and enjoy the learning journey
Accept instructions given to you regarding work and training in the workplace
Attend/participate in the formal training process, be it face to face sessions or online activities
Abide by the policies outlined in the Employment Handbook
Complete tasks, assessments, assignments, etc that are set by the Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader
Keep and update progress on a copy of the training plan/record and produce/show it upon request

We operate a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday from 7am - 5pm.
