Job Purpose
We are looking for a candidate to join our in-house Intellectual Property (IP) team and train to become a UK and European Patent Attorney. The successful candidate will work primarily on biopharmaceutical technologies across our core therapeutic areas.

Our IP team plays an integral role in realising our goal by protecting our R&D investment and IP assets. The IP team provides proactive support to research sites in Europe and the US, working collaboratively with scientists and other professionals in a fast-moving culture that is ambitious for patients.

Basic requirements
You must have at least a 2:1 degree or PhD in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry and immunology).
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a desire and commitment to train as a UK and EP patent attorney.
We are looking for a team player with strong interpersonal, negotiating, analytical and problem-solving skills, with good written and spoken English and attention to detail. You must be passionate about science and medical innovation.
We welcome applications from recent graduates as well as those completing studies or currently working in industry. We would also be interested to hear from part-qualified trainees (i.e., 1-2 years relevant experience in a patent trainee role).
