We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. As a Heating Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating. Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify issues with heating systems. Perform necessary repairs and replacements of faulty components. Assemble and plumb heating systems according to specifications. Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, when necessary. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on site. Assist in heavy lifting of equipment and materials as required.

Skills

Proficient in welding techniques for metal components. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot heating systems. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. Experience in assembling various heating system components. Ability to plumb systems accurately and efficiently. Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely. Commercial driving skills may be advantageous for transporting equipment between sites.

This role is suitable for a recently qualified engineer with some plumbing qualifications. We are a MCS registered contractor focusing on repair and heat pump installs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary, Temp to perm

Pay: 13.00-16.00 per hour
