We are recruiting for a Ground Investigation Technician

to join our ground investigation team. Whether you have experience or are just starting out, this role offers a great opportunity to grow with us.

Key Responsibilities:

Work in a team to carry out all aspects of intrusive ground investigation, including drilling boreholes, excavating trial holes, field testing, and site management. Operate ground investigation drilling rigs, small plant, and hand tools. Occasionally perform lab work and maintenance tasks. Set up and manage project sites, monitor progress, and ensure safety.

Ideal Candidate:

Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions precisely. Physically fit and able to handle moderate physical work. Confident in operating plant and machinery. Polite and effective communication skills, especially with clients. Punctual, reliable, and committed to safety. Interest in geography, geology, construction, or the environment. Clean driving license and willingness to share driving a large transit-sized van. Any additional experience in drainage surveys and repairs would be very beneficial.

Additional Information:

Our sites are throughout London and the South East, with early starts (6-7am) and typically returning to base by mid-afternoon (around 10 hours door-to-door). Occasionally, site work may require staying away from home. Ideally, you will live within easy access of our base in Burgess Hill.
