Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for patients. We are a small close knit team so the right candidate will make a huge difference to the care of our patients in and out of the surgery.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients. Prepare and maintain the clinical environment, including sterilisation of instruments and equipment. Manage patient records accurately, ensuring all information is up-to-date and confidential. Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, procedures, and aftercare instructions. Provide support in managing appointments and scheduling to optimise patient flow. Educate patients on post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and high standards of care.

Requirements

Proficient IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems. Strong command of English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs. Previous experience in a dental practice is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.

There will be a mix of clinical and non clinical hours with Saturdays always being on the reception desk.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 25 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift Every weekend Monday to Friday Weekend availability
