Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong ability to communicate effectively, maintain organisation, and demonstrate proficiency in IT skills to support the daily operations of the practice.

Duties

Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide chairside support to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have during treatments. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, utilising IT systems effectively for data entry and management. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols within the practice. Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups, demonstrating excellent organisational skills. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and high standards of patient care.

Skills

Proficient in English with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues. Strong background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs. IT skills for managing patient records and utilising dental software efficiently. Exceptional organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Willing to work towards qualification as a dental nurse
