Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dental team, and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the clinic. This position requires strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.

Duties

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records and update information as required using IT systems. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including sterilisation of instruments and cleanliness of the treatment area. Manage appointment schedules effectively to optimise patient flow and minimise waiting times. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to care. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge within the field.

Requirements

Proficient in English with strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Demonstrated ability in providing patient care with empathy and professionalism. Highly organised with excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Competent in IT systems related to dental practices, including electronic patient records and scheduling software. Previous experience as a Dental Nurse or in a Healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential.
