Job Description



We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Commercial Heating Engineer to join our clients expanding field-based team based in South Yorkshire. In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting their Heating Engineers in the service, maintenance and installation of commercial boilers and water heaters alongside general plumbing duties.

Clients include - hospitals, councils, schools and commercial business premises.

Day to day you will work alongside a commercial gas engineer, who you will work closely with to learn and develop your knowledge, skills, confidence and capability. Our client is looking for someone who strives to go above and beyond for their clients. The ideal candidate is confident and decisive when required, to ensure that all work is completed safely and effectively.

What you'll need to succeed:



They are looking for a friendly and reliable team player who brings honesty and integrity to everything you do. You'll have hands-on experience working alongside a Heating Engineer, with skills in tasks like maintaining boilers and installing water heaters. You will need to hold Level 2 and 3 NVQ in Domestic Plumbing and Heating (or an equivalent qualification). While you don't need experience with commercial gas, domestic gas experience would be required. Our client will provide the training and support you need to grow your skills and advance toward becoming a fully qualified Commercial Heating Engineer.

Position requirements



NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Domestic Plumbing & Heating Domestic gas experience Gas safe registration Experience working in commercial premises would be an advantage Full clean UK Driving Licence Based locally to the South Yorkshire Area Good IT skills Flexible, reliable and a team player

Desirables:



Previous plumbing and heating experience in commercial premises

Position Remuneration



Salary to be negotiated depending on experience Travel paid key in to key out Pension - 4% employee contribution Overtime available Loyalty Bonus Scheme 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 25 with long service recognition
