Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Collaborate with the management team to develop seasonal menus and special offerings.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen operations.
Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and reporting any issues promptly.
Foster a positive team environment by encouraging collaboration and communication among kitchen staff.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
Ability to supervise and manage a team effectively, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
