We are excited to announce a job opportunity within our expanding company, which specializes in exhaust and emission control systems and services in the growing UK market. This position is located at our offices in Mitcheldean.
We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced individual who can work independently and take ownership of the role.
In this position, you will be responsible for day-to-day office administration, including handling telephone calls, arranging shipping, maintaining purchase accounts using Merlin, and assisting with the sales ledger and credit control.
Duties
Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records and databases.
Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
Utilise accounting software such as Merlin to manage financial transactions.
Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Maintain organised filing systems for financial documents and records.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as required.
Respond to inquiries related to accounts payable and other financial matters.
Processing sales orders
Handling telephone calls and purchase order requests via email
Arranging shipment, liaising with all courier and freight forwarding companies
General office administration
Requirements
Proficiency in data entry with a strong attention to detail.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, Workday, or Xero is highly desirable.
Familiarity with accounts payable processes and financial services is an advantage.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
