The Role
We are currently looking to recruit a trainee accounts assistant to join and expand our existing team at our head office based in Leicester city centre. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided on the job however; the successful candidate must be keen to learn with good communication, aptitude and attention to detail.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Cash Allocation involving the collation, recording and balancing of daily payments received via BACS, Debit/Credit cards and cheques.
Processing debit/credit card payments on behalf of our clients via telephone.
Assisting with credit control in contacting clients and collecting, monitoring and reporting outstanding debts.
Administration of sales documents including invoice data and credit note processing with the use of software packages.
Shared responsibility of daily reconciliation of the debt ledger, and the cash and control books and creating reports for management.
Assisting with quote/contract databases including creating and maintaining new client ID's, updating orders requiring invoicing, sample audits and processing closures.
Accurately posting nominal cash book receipts
Assisting with outgoing post
Ensuring office supplies are maintained
Assist in month-end procedures
Liaising with branches and customers where necessary
Requirements
Basic ICT and Administration skills
Customer service skills
Good communication both written and verbal
Attention to detail
Good aptitude and willingness to learn
