Overview

We are currently seeking a Trade Counter Sales/Warehouse person to join our growing team here at Romford Plastic Warehouse. We are a roofing and builders merchants based in Harold Wood, supplying roofline plastics, building and roofing materials to our customers in the surrounding areas, London and more. This role will consist of working on the trade counter serving our customers and picking orders in the warehouse, with the occasional delivery work as required by management. The ideal candidate(s) will have excellent communication and customer service skills, efficient and be able to build strong relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

- Serving customers in a polite and efficient manor, both at the trade counter and on the phone.
- Pick, load and unload orders/deliveries onto company and customer vehicles
- Ensuring warehouse and storage facilities remain organised and tidy
- Utilise in house computer system for processing customer orders
- Assisting with vehicle checks, ensuring they are completed with the driver prior to vehicle leaving the yard
- Assist in picking orders in the warehouse
- Operate forklifts/warehouse machinery proficiently
- Delivering products to customers safely and efficiently as required

Qualifications/Requirements

- Previous experience in warehouse/sales role is essential, with experience in a building/roofing merchants advantageous
- Good computer literacy
- Excellent customer service and telephone manor
- Ability to work well both individually and in a close-knit team is essential
- Valid driver's licence with no more than six penalty points
- Forklift certification is advantageous although training will be provided

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,500.00 per year
