Brighton Karting is a premier outdoor karting venue dedicated to providing thrilling and safe experiences for all our guests. We pride ourselves on our high standards of safety and customer service.

We are seeking enthusiastic and safety-conscious individuals to join our team as Track Marshalls. As a Track Marshall, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our karting sessions, directly interacting with customers and maintaining track safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring Track Safety:Monitoring karting sessions closely to identify and address any potential hazards, accidents, or rule infringements.
Customer Interaction:Providing clear instructions and safety briefings to drivers before they go on track.
Flagging and Communication:Using flag signals and radio communication to control the pace of karts and communicate with other marshalls and the race control team.
Assisting Drivers:Safely assisting drivers who spin out, break down, or require assistance on the track.
Incident Response:Following established procedures for dealing with accidents and incidents on the track, including basic first aid if trained.
Track Maintenance:Assisting with basic track maintenance, including clearing debris and ensuring the track is in optimal condition.
Equipment Checks:Ensuring karts and safety equipment are in good working order before and after sessions.
Enforcing Rules:Clearly and politely enforcing track rules and regulations to ensure a fair and safe environment for all participants.
Providing Excellent Customer Service:Being a positive and helpful point of contact for customers, answering their questions and addressing any concerns.
Working as Part of a Team:Communicating effectively and collaborating with other marshalls and track staff.
Essential Requirements:

Minimum age of 18 years.
Full UK driving license (due to potential need to move vehicles/equipment).
Excellent observation skills and a strong focus on safety.
Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as required.
Desirable Requirements:

Previous experience as a marshall or in a similar safety-critical role.
First aid certification.
A passion for motorsports and karting.
Experience in a customer-facing role within the leisure or hospitality industry.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From 12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 30 per week
