Our Client;

We are thrilled to be working alongside a genuine leader within the medical device design and manufacturing industry, who are looking to expand and add a toolmaker to their team.

The role;

• Ensuring tools and ancillary equipment are maintained to produce components that meet specification.
• Diagnosis of tooling failures and component quality issues.
• Assessment of tooling following any unplanned downtime.
• Daily liaison with Production Managers and Supervisors to highlight any potential tooling or component quality related issues
• Daily updates to the Tooling Engineer regarding tooling status
• Liase with sub-contract Toolmakers regarding tooling repairs
• Managing the stock of consumable items and updating the Tooling Engineer when required
• To comply diligently with all administrative and procedural requirements of the job including:
• Daily update of tooling status spreadsheets to ensure visibility of tooling status within the organisation
• Adherence to tooling related SOP\xe2\x80\x99s
• Completion and maintenance of appropriate records.
• Raising of necessary paperwork to facilitate tool trials and tooling repairs when required.
• Completion of other administrative requirements as requested from time to time
• To care and maintain all Company documents, materials and other equipment under his/her control.

Key skills & experience required;

• To be computer literate
• Experience within Tooling Hot Runner Systems
• The ability to read Tooling drawings
• The ability to confidently deal with people of all levels
• Knowledge and experience diagnosing tooling faults
• Experience in managing preventative maintenance
• To be an effective team worker, equally able to work on their own
• To be highly self-motivated/self-starter/resilient
• Strong communication skills
