It would be no surprise to us that you\'ve never considered Tool and Plant Hire as a career, in fact, a number of our managers and directors can say the same thing but have successfully carved out a successful career in an industry they\'ve grown to love. I guess you want to know what we do?
Travis Perkins Hire has over 250 locations nationwide that are responsible for supplying our customers (typically tradespeople, builders etc) with top of the range hire equipment that allow them to complete jobs for their customers. From drills to ladders, diggers to dumpers, we provide it all with an unrivalled service, which is why we\'re known to be the best in our industry. If a customer wants it, we will find it, simples!
And I suppose it\'s important you know what you\'ll be doing?
From serving customers over the counter, answering the phone to deal with customer enquiries, to cleaning and maintaining our equipment, you\'ll cover it all. No two days are the same here, and you\'ll establish some great relationships with our customers, most of whom you\'ll see regularly.
Our Tool Hire Development Programme is a 12 month scheme that provides you with hands-on learning that brings you up to speed with anything and everything related to Tool Hire. To aid your learning, you will attend a number of online bite size learning sessions that prepare you for the coming months, coaching sessions via a dedicated coach and knowledge based webinars hosted by experts in our business.
This programme is focused on your development and factors study time into your working week so you can achieve your qualification without affecting your work-life balance. Along the way, our experienced team will provide you with plenty of support to ensure you get the best out of the programme. And it doesn\'t have to end here, as we have a suite of development programmes that can support you to continue to develop your career with us, all the way up to the Boardroom.
Hours of work: Our branches are open Monday - Friday from 7.30am - 5.00pm and Saturdays from 7.30am - 12.00pm. You will work 42.5 hours per week on a shift pattern during these opening hours and will be required to work every other Saturday morning.
