- Minimum of a 2:2 in an art and design related degree. GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English

- Computer literate, Good communication skills , Ability to follow written & verbal instructions, Accurate record keeping skills.

- Experience of carrying out risk assessment

- Appearance must be clean & tidy

- Professional, caring and friendly, able to interact with residents, visitors, staff, Flexible and self motivated, tolerant and enthusiastic

- Good level of physical fitness.

Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring and special education, with the ability to effectively communicate and engage with children. This role is designed for individuals who are committed to fostering a supportive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic goals.

Duties



Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of students. Develop and implement personalised lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles and abilities. Assess students' progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning. Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student confidence and motivation. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements. Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and strategies for supporting students with special educational needs.

Skills



Strong knowledge of tutoring techniques and educational methodologies. Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and their families. Ability to educate and inspire students, making learning enjoyable and accessible. Patience, empathy, and adaptability in addressing diverse student needs.
