JOB OVERVIEWThe Theatre Programme Producer works closely with the Head of Programming & Producing, Artistic Director, Youth and Family Producer and other colleagues on the programming and delivery of our Theatre Programme.The main responsibility of this post holder is to programme the theatre at The Place, and manage the delivery of the programme, liaising within the department to ensure the best experience for visiting artists, from initial contact through to the performance. This is a producing role. The post holder will have strong administrative skills and good attention to detail.This post holder will enjoy researching programme ideas by attending performances and sharings in London, across other areas of the UK, and internationally. They will have a commitment to diversity and will strive to ensure that The Places Theatre Programme reflects the diversity of audiences in London and beyond. They will be motivated to develop The Places programme so that it continues to represent our values of Unlocking Potential, Taking Risks, Equity, Cultural Activism, and Entrepreneurship.Our programme features artists from all over the world. We enjoy working in partnership to deepen our engagement with forms and territories that are underrepresented in our programme, for example with Queer East, Shubbak, Dance Umbrella and cultural agencies in Korea & Taiwan. Programme highlights from 24/25 included work from Igor x Moreno, Pagrav Dance, Gandini Juggling, Shimmering Productions and Protein Dance.SALARY & CONTRACT TERMSSALARYThe salary for this position is xc2xa335,029 per annum.Salaries are reviewed in August each year when any cost-of-living increases are made. No salary changes are made until after successful completion of a probationary period.CONTRACT TERMSThis is an open-ended permanent contract. This is a full-time position (equivalent to 40 hours per week). These hours are inclusive of a one-hour paid lunch break each day. Your hours of work will be agreed with the line manager.Whilst in the six-month probationary period the notice period will be two weeks.
