We're excited to share an amazing opportunity for a motivated, team-oriented individual who wants to make a real impact in the Built Environment. BRE's acoustic team is looking for a technician to join us and help grow our department.
Our team works on a variety of testing projects in our dedicated acoustic testing facilities, measuring sound insulation and sound power. You'll get to be involved in testing all kinds of things--from doors, windows, and partitions to innovative sustainable technologies like heat pumps--and even everyday items like hair dryers! It's a fantastic chance to be part of exciting innovation, testing, and certification processes in the industry.
Plus, there's really strong potential for growth in this role, as we're planning to expand both our team and our facilities over the next 12 to 18 months. If you're looking for a role where you can develop and be part of something big, this could be a perfect fit!
This role is all about working directly with customers, so you'll be engaging with them over the phone and in person. You'll help manage sample deliveries, supervise installations, and provide health and safety inductions to visitors at our test facility.
As a Testing Technician, you'll have the chance to:
Test products and systems following approved procedures and record the results
Work according to UKAS accredited testing standards
Follow BRE Health and Safety guidelines
Help keep the laboratory neat and organized
Arrange for equipment servicing and calibration

You'll be working closely with our team to manage the delivery of materials, test samples, contractors, and clients within the facility. You'll also help keep calibration and quality records up to date. No prior experience is necessary--as full training will be provided!
Please note, the role can be physically demanding at times, but we'll support you with a tailored development plan to help you grow in your role.
