WHAT YOU\'LL NEED
This is where it all begins. We develop the new concepts that go on to become new Jaguars and Land Rovers. So, the emphasis is on building strong strategic, technical and financial foundations right from the start.
Engineering Operations (EO) are responsible for the Preparation and Test of Prototype Rotating Machines, including Internal Combustion Engines (ICE), Powertrain in the Loop (PiL) and future proofing technologies such as Electronic Drive Units (EDU) in support of the overall powertrain cycle plan. Prototype Rotating Machine Test facilitates this activity by establishing the support and control of customer test requests, ensuring that machines are tested to the correct procedure and process. We drive the delivery of high-quality data, whilst observing test standards, which engineering decisions are made on.
The Rotating Machine Test Installation Engineer is a key, pivotal role to ensure repeatability of installations across the commodities and to drive excellence through engineering guidance with creation of installation guides, supporting documentation and daily verbal support. You\'ll lead and take part the installations of RMT UUT\'s onto the Jaguar Land Rover test facilities, including the New Propulsion Development Centre (NPDC). Work in a close, diverse team of Test Engineers collaborating with Advance Engineers, Facility Engineers, Customer Teams and Technicians to deliver a host of calibration and development testing.
You\'ll also be responsible for developing and reporting the successes of the operations team in installation metrics, investigating continuous improvement, issues capture, and the development and communicating of containment actions (CCAR) to achieve Right First Time (RFT) operation, a core value of the team.
