We're looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join our Development team who maintaining and deploying our Maytas software. The Team are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions to ensure software quality.



Maytas is a flexible learning management solution for training providers, employers, and universities. It tracks learners, personnel, employers, and resources in a single database, offering a comprehensive view of an organisation's training activities. Maytas simplifies administration, supports various training types, and manages funding, objective tracking, and evidence submission.



This is a great time to join, as we are currently going through a transitional period with the upcoming launch of our Maytas: Reimagined platform, using new technologies. You will have the opportunity to work on the reimagined project, supporting the successful testing, implementation and role out!



This is a hybrid role, working 3 days home based and 2 days based in our central Lancaster office.



The Role



As Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining automated tests to ensure the quality and functionality of our current and new Maytas application for our customers. Your responsibilities will include:



Collaborate with developers and testers to define the necessary testing levels during the testing phase.

Develop, design, and maintain automated test scripts (including regression tests) to validate system functionality as outlined in product specifications.

Contribute to the creation of user acceptance criteria.

Identify practices within automated testing and processes to enhance quality and efficiency throughout the software testing cycle.

Partner with developers and analysts to assess the impact of new features and defect fixes.

Participate in beta testing with customers, offering training and advisory support.

Gain a deep understanding of the product and real-world user personas to ensure the validity of testing.

Deploy software builds to test environments.



The skills you'll bring:



IT or similar Qualification.

Experience as a Test Automation Engineer.

Experience with automated testing toolkits.



It would be great if you had:



Experience within a SaaS company.

knowledge and understanding of Agile methodologies.
