The Tendering Manager will lead the preparation of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) tenders in the Power Transmission sector. The successful candidate will manage the entire tendering process, ensuring tenders are competitive, compliant, and align with company strategic objectives.
What will you do?
Key Areas of Responsibility (KARs):
Lead the preparation and submission of EPC tenders for power transmission projects in the UK.
Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary information for tenders.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive tenders.
Analyse tender documents and identify key requirements and risks.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, schedules, and technical tenders.
Ensure tenders comply with client requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
Present tenders to senior management and clients and participate in negotiations.
Monitor and report on the status of ongoing tenders, providing regular updates to senior management.
Continuously improve the tendering process and develop best practices for future tenders.
Experience Required:
Good number of years of experience in EPC tendering or proposal management in the power transmission sector.
Strong knowledge of EPC contracts and the power transmission industry.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, estimating tools, and other relevant software.
