We have an exciting opportunity for Technical Instructors to join the innovative and "first of its kind" Life Rooms in High Secure.These exciting posts will be based in Ashworth Hospital within the Life Rooms.Through The Life Rooms, patients can access:Learning: a wide range of courses for positive mental and physical health, as well as cultural and creative opportunities.Social prescribing:practical one-to-one support in areas of horticulture, leisure-based opportunities, and therapeutic groups (e.g. arts and crafts).Inclusion: safe and welcoming environments.Technical Instructors work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the Life Rooms, ensuring effective relationships with patients, delivering a consistent approach to patient care and providing therapeutic interventions, while maintaining operational security.The successful candidate will work within the Life Rooms in the Secure Care Division and will be based at Ashworth High Secure Hospital.Staff may be asked to work across the Secure Care Division including Ashworth, Rowan View Medium Secure Unit or Rathbone Low Secure Unit depending on the service requirements.Main duties of the jobThe Life Rooms is one of Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trusts innovative services.
