Role: Technical Co-ordinator (Virtual Production)Department: Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences - School of Communications and MediaGrade: 6 (xc2xa332,314 - xc2xa338,019 per annum)Responsible to: Technical Development & Planning ManagerCampus: Belfast (with cross-campus remit)Closing Date: 05 March 2025 at 23.30Reference Number: 034223(Permanent / Full-Time)- ABOUT US -We are a university with a national and international reputation for excellence, innovation and regional engagement, making a major contribution to the economic, social and cultural development of Northern Ireland.Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer.- THE ROLE -The postholder will take the lead in co-ordinating the effective provision and availability of the Virtual Production Suite specialist equipment and work to facilitate academic delivery, student learning, research and knowledge exchange activities. They will provide highly skilled technical assistance, guidance and technical instruction to all users, demonstrating equipment and processes as appropriate.- ABOUT YOU -- You will work within and across Faculty and campus structures to provide a comprehensive technical support service across the converging disciplines of Virtual Production, Screen Production, and Film & TV production.- You will manage access and provide primary support for the operation of specialist media facilities including the Virtual Production suite, Computer Labs, and other specialist teaching spaces, equipment and facilities.- You will provide instructional workshops, guidance and in-depth training across a range of specialised media software applications across Unreal engine, the Adobe Creative Suite and other media production software, as the curriculum evolves for staff and students/student groups, including assisting and advising students with project work where appropriate.Further information can be found in the candidate briefing document.Ulster University holds a Silver Athena SWAN Award in recognition of our commitment to advancing Gender equality.
