In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing capital accounting activities within our organisation.Key Responsibilities:Manage and oversee capital accounting activities.Ensure accurate and timely reporting of capital expenditure and lead on capital reporting within the statutory accounts.Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with financial regulations.Provide expert advice on capital accounting matters.Manage the treasury management function and all investment/borrowing requirements for the force, ensuring a direct correlation between cash resources and the capital programme.Ensure compliance with both internal financial regulations and CIPFA treasury guidance.Qualifications and Experience:CCAB qualified accountant.At least 2-3 years of demonstrable capital accounting experience.Minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience.Ideally, 3-5 years of experience working in an accounting environment within a medium to large public sector organization.Skills and Attributes:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.Join us and be a part of a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in financial management!Essex Police offer agile working which allows some flexibility in terms of work arrangements.
