Sellick Partnership are currently assisting a world renowned not for profit organisation with the recruitment of a Technical Accountant based in Liverpool. My client is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Technical Accountant to join their dynamic and friendly finance function on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Technical Accountant you will play a key role in supporting the financial management of the organisation ensuring that they comply to all statutory accounting requirements. You will prepare the statutory accounts providing advice on all technical accounting issues alongside other duties below:

Key responsibilities of the Technical Accountant

• Complete annual accounts and reports
• Manage the audit process
• Draft the annual report and accounts for subsidiary organisations
• Monitor the Projects Programme providing monthly reports to Senior Management
• Provide advice on all taxation related matters
• Monitor the Capital Programme working closely with the Capital Accountant
• Support change programmes and efficiency reviews

Required skills and experience of the Technical Accountant

• Ideally CCAB Accounting qualification
• Experience of preparing statutory accounts
• Experience of creating financial management information
• Understanding of public sector accounting best practice
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
• Strong organisational and time management skills
