Location: Bradford Children Services

Salary: \xc2\xa3400 - \xc2\xa3450 per day (contract-based)

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to lead our Placement Coordination team, ensuring the seamless placement of children in safe and suitable environments.

Role Overview: As a Team Manager in the Placement Coordination team, you will play a vital role in overseeing the placement process, ensuring that children and young people are placed in appropriate care settings that meet their individual needs. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, coordinating placements, monitoring outcomes, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and support a team of Placement Coordinators, providing guidance, supervision, and professional development opportunities.
  • Oversee the allocation and coordination of placements for children and young people, ensuring timely and suitable arrangements.
  • Collaborate with social workers, external agencies, and providers to assess placement options, taking into consideration the needs and preferences of each child.
  • Monitor and review the quality of placements, ensuring that they align with safeguarding standards and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to your team on placement matters, complex cases, and challenging situations.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with foster carers, residential homes, and other care providers to ensure successful placements.
  • Analyze placement data, trends, and feedback to inform service improvements and optimize outcomes for children.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and documentation related to placements and outcomes.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the Placement Coordination team and wider children\'s services.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement within the team and across the organization.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration and significant experience in a children\'s social work setting.
  • Proven experience in supervising or managing a team, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
  • Strong understanding of placement coordination, fostering, and residential care practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices related to placement and care of children.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and partnership-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and make informed decisions.
  • A commitment to the welfare and well-being of children and young people.
