We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Senior Health Care Assistant to lead a team of Care Assistants in providing exceptional care for residents in our 22-bed residential home for the elderly. This role involves ensuring high standards of care, managing day-to-day responsibilities, and supporting the well-being of residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of Care Assistants.
Delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth daily operations.
Update and maintain digital Care Plans to reflect the individual needs of residents.
Conduct staff supervisions to support team development and maintain high care standards.
Arrange hospital appointments and liaise with families and external agencies regarding Service Users' needs.
Administer medication in line with best practices and guidelines.
Order, book in, and manage medication supplies within the building.
Conduct compliance audits, including building safety, medication, and health and safety checks.
Support the development of the care team with training and mentoring opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or above).
At least 2 years of experience in providing care.
Proven experience in a Team Leader role (minimum 2 years).
Proficiency in Medication Management, Care Planning, and digital care systems.
Preferred:
Driving Licence.
