Join us in this great and rewarding job, as our Team Leader (known Internally as Positive Behavioural Support Team Leader) for one of our complex care services in North Walsham. You\xe2\x80\x99ll manage our team of support workers to provide person-centred and strengths-based support to our customer (let\'s call them H) and help them reach their full potential.

H lives in their own home, they have complex needs including a learning disability, communication challenges, some sensory processing challenges. H can display behaviours of concern when upset. They are in their 50\xe2\x80\x99s, and are a caring, funny person who enjoys spending time getting out and about to local sights for walks, picnics and trips to the beach. H usually goes out in their car 2-3 times per day. Our customer requires care and support with all aspects of their life from their 24/7 2:1 support team. They need prompting and encouragement to keep to a routine and make sure that important relationships with family are maintained. H requires support with personal care and medication. H has been assessed as not having capacity to make decisions about important aspects of their life, however they are able to make lots of decisions about what they like and don\xe2\x80\x99t like and how they want to spend their day!

H can find certain parts of daily life quite difficult, and this can be distressing for them. H\xe2\x80\x99s team support them to manage these anxieties whilst making sure that they are still able to do the things they love.

H has a supportive team of external professionals around them, and we are working together to improve H\xe2\x80\x99s ability to communicate wants and wishes.

Typical day as our Team Leader

\xc2\xb7 Helping H overcome barriers and help them lead a fulfilling and meaningful life and reach their true potential.

\xc2\xb7 Recognising their strengths and abilities and help them take the small steps at their pace, never losing sight of their dreams and aspirations!

\xc2\xb7 Supporting H using Positive Behavioural Support model to promote independence and social inclusion through person centred support. The team use the PROACT-SCIPt model to minimise crisis interventions.

\xc2\xb7 Monitoring our customers\xe2\x80\x99 mental and physical health to identify any signs of deterioration and take positive risk management to their health and wellbeing.

\xc2\xb7 Line management of a team of support workers. Motivating, directing, guiding, coaching, and supporting your team to work with our customer.

\xc2\xb7 Keeping support plans and risk assessments up to date to reflect the practice required by H\xe2\x80\x99s team.

\xc2\xb7 Ensuring that the service is compliant with CQC requirements and that high standards of care are maintained.

You have

\xc2\xb7 Experience in CQC Regulated services, with a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care or equivalent.

\xc2\xb7 Worked as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader, leading support for people with complex needs, or behaviours of distress.

\xc2\xb7 Experience of managing a team of support/care workers

\xc2\xb7 A patient and calm approach, able to adapt your style to H\'s needs, as well as to the specific occasion and circumstances, even when they challenges us.

\xc2\xb7 Great people management and motivation skills, bringing colleagues together to share information, best practice and fostering creativity.

\xc2\xb7 Experience of positive risk management, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of customers and colleagues.

\xc2\xb7 Experience of working with external MDT\xe2\x80\x99s

\xc2\xb7 To help H get out and about, you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to be able to drive. H has their own car.

\xc2\xb7 Ideally you would be familiar with objects of reference and other non-verbal communication strategies

You\xe2\x80\x99ll join our Registered Manager Glen and our other Norfolk team leaders, we\xe2\x80\x99re super passionate about what we do! We also have our own clinical colleagues who will be able to support you and your team to deliver the best service possible. We\xe2\x80\x99re really proud of how we\xe2\x80\x99re setting up our new care services in Norfolk and are continuing to grow over the next few months.

Job details

\xc2\xb7 The role is full time (37.5hrs per week) and you\xe2\x80\x99ll spend 22.5 hours of that time on rota in your service. This could be a mixture of early, late and weekend shifts. You may need to cover the odd night shift in an emergency. The rest of your time will be spent auditing, updating care plans and line managing your team.

\xc2\xb7 You will be on-call for our Norfolk care services. This is a rolling rota with our other team leaders. These duties incur additional payment.

\xc2\xb7 You\xe2\x80\x99ll have access to customer specific training, host your own team meetings for your colleagues and will be part of the Norfolk management team activities organised by your registered manager.

\xc2\xb7 You will have good technology skills to make sure that you and your team to update service records and complete online learning.

\xc2\xb7 We\xe2\x80\x99ll make sure you have a fantastic induction with ongoing learning and support.

\xc2\xb7 You\xe2\x80\x99ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
