Job Description


There is some scope for flexibility in start date, but it would be preferable if the successful candidates could be in place in early September 2023.

The School of Law is an ambitious and growing School with which regularly ranks in the Top 20 UK Law Schools (11 in The Guardian Guide, 2023) and rank in the Top 100 of Law Schools Internationally (99 in the World University Rankings 2022). Although this post is primarily teaching-focussed, the successful candidate(s) will have the opportunity to become an active member of one or more of the School\xe2\x80\x99s Research Centres should they choose.

The successful candidate(s) will be expected:

  • to deliver student teaching and assessment in law at undergraduate and graduate level;
  • to contribute towards course and programme administration; and
  • to participate in the academic administration and community life of the School.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6 salary scale (\xc2\xa336,333-\xc2\xa343,155) (pro-rata for part-time hours) and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.

Any appointment will be made subject to satisfactory references and will be subject to a probation period.
