The School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science (PRHS) at the University of Leeds seeks to hire a fixed-term Teaching Fellow in History of Science.
As Teaching Fellow you will: contribute lecturing and/or tutoring to the teaching of Level 1 modules Introduction to the History of Science, Magic, Science, and Religion, and Darwin, Germs, and the Bomb, Level 2 history and psychiatry of mental illness, Level 3 science communication, and suitable MA level teaching; supervise Level 3 final year projects; and act as academic personal tutor. You will be leading several of these undergraduate modules. You will contribute to the teaching of a module that prepares students for undergraduate study within the arts and humanities. You will also have the opportunity to participate in and contribute to activities coordinated by the vibrant Centre for History and Philosophy of Science.
You will have submitted your PhD thesis (or be very close to submitting it) in the area of History of Science and have relevant subject expertise and teaching experience.
